Finances and Separation

Updated: Apr 30, 2020

Marriage breakdown can be a very stressful time and during any stressful situation my main quote is, “The last thing you want to worry about is MONEY.” Having someone on your team that has an unbiased position is essential to a healthy transition.

A Financial Divorce Specialist can look at your entire financial situation so that you can have a clear picture of where you are at financially before the separation and how your finances will look after the separation. They are also able to coach you on how to proceed on just one income and the best course of action to take in rebuilding your finances.

Money is something people can be uncomfortable talking about, yet it is one of the most important things we need to discuss. During a separation, we need to be comfortable to ask those questions and educate ourselves on our finances as we move forward. In most relationships, there is one person that looks after the finances and the other person is in a position of trust. During a marriage breakdown, we need to have both parties on equal fields so that they both can move forward confidently and knowledgeably.

Our team is here to help you do just that.
